Philippa Ngaju Makobore has a BSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alberta, Canada (2008), a professional certificate in Embedded Systems Engineering from the University of Califorina, Irvine (2016) and is currently a Master of Science in Interdisciplinary Engineering – Biomedical Engineering student at Purdue University which she will complete in early 2020. Philippa’s research interests are in the design of affordable and appropriate non-invasive medical devices for low resource settings. In particular embedded system based real-time applications for diagnostic and therapeutic devices. Philippa has received several local and international awards and grants for the design and implementation of medical devices for resource constrained settings.
